History

Panasoft is an international information technology company, originated from Greece, with the sole objective to develop high quality software solutions for the Travel Industry and stand behind those products with unparalleled after-sales support. Launched in 1997 with a management team bearing at that time over 15 years of experience in software engineering and the travel industry, it has been established as the Greek and Cypriot market leader in Travel Agency, Tour Operator and Airline automation systems. Based on this success, Panasoft has expanded its business activities in other European and International markets, with installations in United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Romania, Croatia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Dubai, Oman, Qatar, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, South Africa and the Philippines.

The collaboration between Panasoft and Global Distribution Systems (GDS’s), BSP, rail and ferry companies, Global Hotel providers, credit cards and banks has given a further boost in its fast growing expansion plans. Panasoft has already established an independent company in Cyprus as its international support base and is also planning opening a branch in the Middle East.

In an independent thorough evaluation that took place among 100 software companies worldwide specialized in the travel software and was executed for the account of Sabre Travel Network, Panasoft was ranked among the top three preferred companies worldwide. On this occasion, Panasoft and Sabre signed a "General Services and Reseller Agreement" for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Panasoft is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner since 2010 and an authorized Sabre Red App Developer since 2013

The level of expertise and the state-of-the art know-how of Panasoft’s executives and employees is something that we take pride in. Our programmers are all experts in their respective fields, our analysts have in-depth knowledge of commercial, accounting and legal issues pertaining to the Travel Industry, while our experienced technical support personnel is always standing by in order to attend our clients’ needs in the most efficient and effective way, on the phone, or remotely, or by on-site visits. The total number of employees in our head office in Athens is currently 39, including 12 software engineers and analysts, 3 hardware and network specialists and 14 in the Support and Training department. Furthermore, in order to cover the constantly raising company’s support needs, Panasoft has formed several strategic partnerships with local IT companies.

Travel Force™, the main product of Panasoft, is installed in over 900 Travel Agencies and Tour Operators worldwide (a total of approximately 4.200 user licenses). Travel Force services 86% of the air tickets issued in Greece and about 55% in Cyprus, where it was introduced in 1998, and was immediately met with great enthusiasm by the local tourist community. It has been in the Greek market for the last 26 years and has been improving ever since, being constantly updated. Developed under Windows, this unique back office supports all functions of the travel industry including inbound and outbound tourism, tours and packages complemented by full accounting, invoicing and reporting.

Developed using cutting edge technologies, Travel Force Cosmos was launched in 2012 and is a 4th generation application suite especially designed for multi-branch, multi-company, multi-country and multi-currency support. Relying on Microsoft SQL Server, it covers Accounting, Billing, Invoicing, POS Management, MIS, Inventory and also contains CRM functionality. It integrates easily with other systems and is highly customizable through the use of a specially designed domain scripting language. Travel Force Cosmos focuses on the increase of automation, security and productivity.

Developed to run in Sabre Red Workspace, Cosmos Red is a series of eight productivity enhancing Red Apps, bridging the gaps between the Sabre selling platform and Travel Force Cosmos. The main focus of the apps is the automation of complex processes like service fee calculation and quality control of the PNR ensuring:

  • All processes are concluded before ticketing
  • A fully verified IUR is produced, ready for touch-less invoicing by Travel Force Cosmos or other back office systems.
  • Travel Consultants do not need to be trained to use the mid/back office system.

SARA stands for StandAlone Red Apps. Panasoft recognised the great demand for Cosmos Red Apps which could not be fulfilled because either a different mid office was already in use, or the complete suite was not required. So Panasoft decided to separate them and offer them either individually or in any combination.

It is an internet booking engine for travel agencies and tour operators, allowing sales of different types of travel related services either to business clients (B2B) or to end consumers (B2C). Services already offered include hotel accommodation, transfers, rent a car, miscellaneous other services, group package bookings, air tickets, ferry tickets, FIT packages, local excursions, charter flights and congress registrations.

It has developed connections with Hotel providers, such as GTA, GoGlobal, Travco, HotelBeds, Special Tours and others, which allow the Travel Agency to sell the providers’ mixed with their own inventory in their web booking engine.
